Since Karen Dell'Armi is an outstanding jewelry designer, her passion for life is not limited to the field of design. One area she is committed to is education.

The education work Karen focuses on is mainly in three fields: leadership coaching, creativity in education and the work of Big Ideas Wales.

Leadership Coaching

Karen has devoted herself to the leadership coaching for more than ten years. As a governor and chair of governors in Cardiff schools and the governor representative on children & young people community of Cardiff Council, she is passionate about the field of education. From these work, she consults governor type work and gets to understand more about the body of government.

Creativity in Education

She is a creative agent, practitioner, trainer and quality assessor for Art Council Wales.

During the collaboration with teachers, she uses the art within education to boost creativity and creative thinking skills among students. The reason for doing it now is all for preparation of new curriculum in 2022 where these new curriculum, the capabilities of persistence, collaboration, discipline, imagination, and inquisitiveness are five key areas need to be promoted by students. For herself, the creative work in education aligns with her passions for artistry and life's work.

Big Ideas Wales - Youth Entrepreneurship Role Model

As the Youth Entrepreneurship Role Model of Big Ideas Wales, Karen usually goes into schools to get students of all ages to think about future of entrepreneurship and through specific events, she guides them to broaden their skills by entrepreneurial ventures, delivering workshops, problem-solving, coaching and mentoring. What's more, Karen is also a supporter of wellbeing workshop in schools.

Passion for art and education are the two main things she loves in her life. The field of education work provides her an excellent chance to combine them together. Art is not only about design, but also exists in education.
