Serenity is Karen Dell'Armi's second Jewellery Collection featuring handmade geometric patterns, bold architectural shapes and forms, launched in 2007.
Her signature style of bold sculptural and contemporary jewellery is found in this collection as the predominant use of silver.
The uniqueness of this collection is that it consists of intriguing textures, featuring the handmade geometric patterns that are achieved by electrolytic etching, reticulation, milling and planishing.
Inspired by Buddhist singing bowls, when Karen trained in mindfulness and meditation in 2003. Each individual collection piece conveys in their appearance and texture a sculptural serenity. In contrast to that they have industrial finishes and a play rust, a sort of oxidised finish to them.
Talking about the Serenity Collection Karen says that initially she thought that someone as clumsy as she is working with such small scales would be impossible. In fact, when designing the number and sizes of the bowls required for the collection it was some technical soldering challenges that she had to overcome.

This is why from the collection she is mostly proud of her Serenity Studs 2, seen on the side, a two-centimetre diameter pair of studs; each circles of small, oxidised silver bowls.
