When thinking about what to study at university and what career path to take, Karen Dell’Armi did not consider a career in jewellery making. For university, she decided to pursue a degree in business and marketing, seeing herself working as a marketing professional for many years to come. Even though this might not have been exactly the path she wanted to follow, she knew it would make her father happy because he was also a business professional. Karen always loved art, creativity, and the history of art and design, but decided to pursue her business degree.
After ten years as a marketing professional, Karen took some time off from her unfulfilling career to take care of her first child. After her second child, she finally had a life-changing realisation crossing the Severn Bridge that she needed to make a change. This change was to follow her passion for art and design and start creating her own jewellery and works of art. In less than a month, Karen was already enrolled in jewellery making classes that set her on the path to the career she has today.

Karen has also devoted her professional and personal life to education and the wellbeing of others. As a creative consultant, Karen works with the City of Cardiff Council, and she is a Parent Governor for Llanishen High School. Karen is also a Creative Agent, Practitioner, Trainer and Quality Assurance Assessor for the Arts Council of Wales. As a mentor, Karen has workshops teaching students about jewellery-making as well as teaching them professional skills. She is also a qualified Neuro-Linguistic Programming Trainer, Practitioner and Coach, as well as a qualified Mindfullness Coach and Trainer. Karen is also a passionate role model for other educators that wish to implement creative thinking and learning into the classroom.
As Karen moves forward in her career, she is excited to launch her new website and brand, sharing her passions, skills, and products with the Cardiff community and beyond.
